Mothers Day, 2003 Pictures

Daniel Dingle plays a solid center for the Kips Bay Super Eights team. He shown here with his mother and the Sportsmanship trophy he received at Pro Style last week.

Flanked by his proud parents Christ the King freshman forward, Robert Hampton was the Pro Style Midget division M. V .P. for his N. Y. C. Rise Panther championship team as he scored 16 points in their win over the Springfield Rifles in the championship game.

Jessica Gatling played for Abyssinian Church at Pro Style this season. Her team won the Young Miss division and Jessica won the division's high scorer trophy.  She is a seventh grader at Mt Carmel and Gameball currently has her ranked third in the class of 2008.

The Springfield Rifles' Unique Stowe won the Pro Style Junior division Sportsmanship trophy last Sunday. The Bayside High freshman, shown here with his mother, is also a standout on the football field for the Rifles.

Malik Boothe and his mother posed for this picture last weekend at Pro Style.  Malik is the precocious eighth grade point guard who ran the show for coach Craig (Kat) Keyes' championship Midget team, the NYC Rise Panthers.

Melquan Bolding posed here with his parents holding the Pro Style Midget division high scorer trophy. Melquan is an eighth grader from Ossining in Westchester and played with Gauchos last fall at the Hoop Group Classic, scoring 22 in their championship win and for Abyssinian Church at this fall's Nike Riverside tournament. He played with the Westchester Corney All-Stars team for Pro Style. Gameball ranks Melquan fifth in his class.  We'll probably rank him highly in two years.

James Vines (left in orange shirt) is a 6-3 freshman forward at Rice who played well for the Gauchos' Midget team at Pro Style in last Saturday's semis. The 'chos lost to the eventual champs, the NYC Rise Panthers on a Darius Gabriel buzzer beating tip-in. James posed here with his mother and older brother, Joseph a 6-4 Rice sophomore forward.
