Nike Swoosh League, 2004

8/11/04 Nike Swoosh (Long Island) Basketball League Girls Championship 6:30pm Game (Biddy Division) Long Island Wave defeats the Lady Dragons. There was no doubt that the Long Island Wave would become this years Nike Swoosh Basketball champs. With a spectacular offensive and defensive performance by Sajidah Pressly the Wave was crowned the 12.U Girls Nike (Long Island) Champs. The Lady Dragons fought all the way to the end. Alicia Bellamy led the dragons with 6 points.

7:30pm Game (Midget Division) Long Island Lightning 52 - Long Island Wave Abyssinian 32. With quick feet, good passes and easy lay-ups the Long Island Lightning swept the Wave team right off the court. Within the first half it was clear that the Lightning team would become this year's Long Island Nike Swoosh champions. Scarlett Dunchak led her team to victory over the waves with 16 points. Kamesha Lambright led the Wave with 19 points.

8:30pm Game (Junior Division)  Bunky Reid All-stars 58 - Long Island Wave Abyssinian 40. With excellent defensive and matching offensive play, the Bunky team was able to dominate both ends of the court. The All-stars team was led by Gillian Fortune with 19, and leading the Wave team was Kamesha Lambright with 22 points.

8/6/04 6:30 games - Biddy Division Bunky Reid All-stars vs. Baldwin PAL Blue Devils 49 45. Leading scorer: Shamar Stephen with 12 points. Unique All-stars vs. Rosedale All-stars 42 32. Leading scorer: Jean Chig with 12 points.

7:30 games - Midget Division Bunky Reid All-stars vs. Baldwin Bruins 48 46. Leading scorer: Rashawn McCarthy with 23 points. Rosedale All-stars vs. Glen Cove 45 46. Leading scorer: Taliek Vasquez with 16 points.

8/3/04  6:30 games- Biddy Division Bunky Reid All-stars vs. Manhasset All-stars 58 22. Leading socrer: Tyrece Redd with 17 points.  Southside NYC vs. Rosedale Stars 26 53. Leading scorer: Shateek Andrews with 14 points

7:30 games- Midget Division Bunky Reid All-stars vs. Future Lgends 76 28. Leading scorer: Rashawn McCarthy with 26 points. Rosedale Stars vs. Baldwin Bruins 41 24. Leading scorer: Anthony Thomas with 12 points.

8:30 games- Juniors Division Carey Allstars vs. Bunky Reid Allstars 43 61. Leading scorer: Joshua Frazier with 20 points. Hoop Vision vs. Hempstead PAL 53 46. Leading scorer: Anthony Williams with 28 points.

7/31/04 6:30pm Game (biddy division) Long Island Lightning vs. Rosedale Star. With a score of 38 the Rosedale stars defeated the Lightning team, who had a final score of 19. Kamarl Carr led the Rosedale team with 13 points, and with 8 points Tyler Seidman was high for the Lightning.  

Court 2  Baldwin Blue Devils vs Southside NYC. With a final score of 53 to 15 there was no doubt that the Baldwin team would obtain this victory. Leading his team to victory was Nicholas Thomas with 13 points. With 6 points Steven Baxter was the leading score for the Southside team.

Bunky Reid All-stars vs. Long Island Lightning. With a leading score of 12, Shamar Stephen and the Bunky Reid team won against the Lightning in a close game. Tyler Seidman was the leading scorer from the Lightning team with 17. The Final score was 38 to 33.

7:30pm Game (midget division) Bunky-Reid All-stars vs. Baldwin Bruins. In a close battle until the very last minute the Bunky Reid all-stars were able to beat the Bruins 34 to 32. With 8points Travis Triano was the leading scorer for the All-stars. He also scored a 3 point shot in the final seconds, putting his team ahead by one point. With matching scores of 8 points Darius Jenkins and Jerell Laurence were the leading scorers for the Baldwin team.

8:30pm Game (junior division) Next Level vs. Bunky Reid all-stars. In a very exciting game the Buny Reid team defeated the Next Level team 38 to 31. With 12 points Josh Frazier was the leading scorer for the Bunky Reid team. Brian Elisma was the lead scorer for Next level with 9 points.

Court 2  Hempstead PAL vs. Carey All-stars. With 17 points Yusef Khalik led the Hempstead PAL team to a 58-44 victory over the Carey all-stars. Leading his team in points was John Beaudly had 12 points.

7/30/04 Cynthia David: '6:30 Games (Biddy Division)  Bunky Reid All-stars vs. Long Island Lightning. With a leading score of 12, Shamar Stephen led the Bunky Reid team to victory against the Lightning in a close game. Tyler Seidman was the leading scorer from the Lightning team. The Final score was 38 to 33.  Court 2:  Unique All-stars vs. Roosevelt Ruff Riders. In this game their was no doubt that the win would go to the talented Unique All-stars, with an astonishing score of 64 to 15. Leading his team to this victory Patrick Walter had 18 points. Alex Ayalaz was the leading score for the Roosevelt team with five points, which was very well deserved.

7:30 Game (Midget Division) Future Legends vs. Carey All-stars. In an extremely close game the Future Legends basketball team defeated the Carey All-stars 33 to 31. Harold McCorule led the Legends to Victory with the team leading score of 10. Antonio Gallian was the leading scorer for the Carey All-star team with 15 points.

8:30 Game (Junior Division) Long Island Buckets vs. Bunky Reid All-stars In an extremely exciting game The Long Island Buckets defeated the Bunky Reid all-stars with a score of 50 to 37. The leading scorer for the wining team was Mark Deans with 14. Ali Bailey was the leading scorer for the Bunky Reid team with 12.

7/28/04 Cynthia David: '6:30pm Games (Biddy division) With a leading score of 17 Patrick Walters led the Unique All-stars to a 52 to 28 victory over the Baldwin Blue Devils whose leading scorer was Chris Mollden with 7.  In an exciting game, Reynaldo L. led his Roosevelt team to a 58-28 with 14 points. Steve Divy was high for Southside with 8 points.

7:30pm Games (midget division) vs. Baldwn Bruins. With a dynamic performance Roberto Lyons and a leading score of 16, Roberto Lyons led Glen Cove BGC to a 45-22 victory over the Baldwin Bruins. Jarrell Lewis was the leading scorer for the Bruins with 11.

8:30pm Games (junior division) With matching leadng scores of 14, Brandon Jerrano and Donte Brown got the LI Lightning team to a 58-28 victory over the Carey All-stars. Anthony Kudowsky was the leading scorer for Carey with 8.
