The New York Rollin' Knicks wheelchair basketball team is looking for a new head coach. They play in August through February and travel all across the U.S.A. They practice twice a week on Wednesdays (7-10pm) and Saturdays (1-5pm). They are funded by the New York Knicks. The selected coach will receive a stipend. 2/26/01 Coach Kenny Pretlow:  'Riverside went 5-3 on Riverside Day. The Super Biddy "A' team defeated NYC Panthers by Forfiet. The Biddies crushed Team Marbury 56-27. The Riverside Hawks midgets defeated the Wolfpack aslo on forfiet. The Riverside future stars midgets routed the Harlem Lions by over thirty points. The Riverside Hawks juniors bounced the Roberto Clemente Pirates 98-17. The Riverside future stars juniors lost a close one to the Washington Warriors 56-54. The riverside seniors lost a close one also to Kips Bay by 4 points. Overall not a bad Saturday for the Church.'  

2/18/01 The New Jersey Flames Biddies took Team Roc 35-25. led by led by the inside, outside combo of point guard Desmond Wade (12) and center George Brease (4).  

80 Park goes by NYC Panthers at Pro Style and they led 15-0 at halftime against the Westchester Biddies.  Malik Boothe, Ryan Davis and Charles Jenkins made the trip from IS8 to the Bronx, but center Hassadullah Amini, who was not at IS8  had a game high 7 points.  This team continues to impress with talent and depth.

2/17/01  Today was Rockland PAL day at Pro Style, but the Each1Teach1 juniors easily won 71 - 61 behind Robin Grant (17),  Wayne Gibbons (12) and Lavon Hickman (10).  Rasheed Shah had a game high 27 for Rockland and he kept playing hard to the very end. Tomorrow's 8 game schedule includes four biddie, two midget and two senior games.

2/7/01  Pro Style 2K 1, "Winter League Basketball" games are played every weekend through the playoffs and championships in April.

68 Teams compete in 5 divisions: Super Biddy (10 and under),  Biddy (12 and under),  MIDGET (14 and under),  Junior (16 and under),  Senior (19 and under).

1/21/01  Pro Style 2K 1 "Winter League Basketball" begins the weekend of January 20th and 21st and will continue every weekend through  the playoffs and championships in March.

66 teams will compete in 5 divisions: Super Biddy (10 u),  Biddy (12 u), Midget (14 u),  Junior (16 u),  Senior (19 u).

Por Style 2K 1 games will be played at: Bronx Regional High School, 1010 Reverend James Polite Avenue, Bronx (Between East 163rd and 165th Streets) and feature invited teams and organizations for boys, girls and young adults from New York's five (5) boroughs, Westchester, Rockland, New Jersey, Long Island and southern Connecticut.

Each team will be issued Pro Style 2K team shirts. At the conclusion of the Pro Style 2K 1 winter league season, statuesque Pro Style 2K trophy awards will be presented to each Pro Style 2K 1 division champion (both teams and players) and to each division's, 2nd place winners (both teams and players).

Pro Style 2K 1 Individual achievement awards will be presented to the MVP, the leading scorer and for sportsmanship in each Pro Style 2K division. Rookie of the season and coach of the season awards will be presented to one (1) extraordinary participating player and coach chosen by Pro Style 2K. Academic achievemen awards will also be given to outstanding Pro Style 2K 1 student athletes in each of the league's divisions, for their exemplary educational achievements.

11/22/00  Pro Style 2K 1 "Winter League Basketball" will be presented by members of the UDC Summer Basketball League and all games will be officiated by the governing body of New York SUBOA.

10/26/00 Adrian Armstrong, UDC Board Chairman:  'UDC is not running a winter basketball league. One of our board members that is currently on a leave of absence has sent out a press release to the effect that this winter league is being organized by members of UDC. The board of directors of UDC have authorized me to write this disclaimer because the press release is disingenuous and gives the impression that UDC has some involvement with this venture. We wish Vincent Davis well in his endeavor but we find it imperative to let everyone know that the Prostyle Sports Winter League has no affiliation with the UDC Summer Basketball League.'
